Flash CNF Fundamentals

Discover the essential building blocks of flash nonfiction. In this four-week workshop, we’ll explore one fundamental element each week: Urgency, Economy, Immediacy, and Structure. Through reading, writing exercises, and peer feedback, you’ll learn how these tools work together to craft compact, powerful narratives that stick with readers long after they finish. Designed for beginners and writers seeking a refresher, this class provides the foundation and practice you need to engage with this exciting genre.

Please note: This class or event will be held online (using Zoom or a similar live platform). To participate, students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register.
