Design Your First Tabletop RPG – Building the Core of a Game

A good tabletop RPG isn’t just systems and mechanics. This class will take you through the foundational design decisions behind TTRPGs including what players do, how the rules support that activity, and how tone and mechanics reinforce each other. Through guided exercises, you’ll build a simple framework for a game including its premise, core gameplay loop, and basic resolution system. Perfect for writers curious about game design or creators who want to move from story ideas to interactive worlds.

Teacher: Anton Kromoff

Prerequisite: Open to writers of all levels of experience
