Creative Writing for Middle School Youth

Creative Writing for Middle School Youth (ages 11 to younger 14-year-olds) explores the fundamentals of creative writing and encourages each student to find their individual writing voice, no matter the genre (poetry, fiction, nonfiction, songwriting, screenwriting). Students will explore their creative expression through unique prompts, exercises, in-class writing, and opportunities to share and discuss their work. Popular topics include Slaying the Villain, Where a Story Starts, songwriting, Duo Poetry, and more! The final class culminates in a live reading which friends and family are invited to attend.

Please Note: All students under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to participate. Please review and complete this form with your parent or legal guardian.

Come meet your muse at the Muse Writers Center!
