Creative Writing for Middle School Youth (Saturday Afternoons)

Creative Writing for Middle School Youth (ages 11 to younger 14-year-olds) explores the fundamentals of creative writing and encourages each student to find their individual writing voice, no matter the genre (poetry, fiction, nonfiction, songwriting, screenwriting). Students will explore their creative expression through unique prompts, exercises, in-class writing, and opportunities to share and discuss their work. Popular tops include Slaying the Villain, Where a Story Starts, songwriting, Duo Poetry, and more! The final class culminates in a live reading which friends and family are invited to attend.

Come meet your muse at the Muse Writers Center!

The Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon middle school classes are identical. Students may only register for the morning or afternoon class, not both.
