Creative Writing Camp: Middle School (ages 11-13)

The Muse Youth Summer Camp is a great opportunity for middle school aged creative writers to have fun with words–both out loud and on paper. During each day of this morning camp, we’ll explore a different type of creative writing and expression.

We’ll try our hands at poetry with Skye Zentz, sharing what we like and writing short poems together.

We’ll have a chance to write what we think about ourselves and the world around us and make up new stories by exploring fiction with Jessica Grace Kelley.

We’ll bring our stories to life by writing and illustrating comic books with Cory Bland.

We’ll make music together by learning the art of song writing with Skye Zentz.

And, we’ll have a chance to polish the genre we enjoyed the most during the week, and then share it with our friends and family during the last hour of the camp at 11 a.m. on Friday

Come learn to express yourself in a guided, friendly, and supportive environment! Open to middle school writers (ages 11-13) of all levels and experience.

Please Note:

This is five session, Monday through Friday Summer camp. Light snacks and supplies provided.

All students under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to participate. Please review and complete these forms with your parent or legal guardian:
