Cotton Candy Grooves: A Bite-Sized Introduction
Cotton Candy Grooves is a new kind of festival celebrating an expansive and inclusive range of Black creators in Hampton Roads. The focus is to center those that are often overlooked by emphasizing LGBTQ+, women, those with different abilities, and youth creators in grounded, sustainable ways.
The Muse Writers Center proudly joins The LGBT Life Center, The CAN Foundation, The Southeastern Transgender Center, and Go Green Farms 757 in partnering with Cotton Candy Grooves.
The introductory event features a beautiful line-up of artists and creators including Brea, ARCHANGEL, Paper Aliens, Kiara, Justice Dwight, Evian DeLatour, Koren Grace, Evan Hannah, and more. We will be holding musical performances in the Makers Craft event room while the art exhibition will be taking place outdoors.
The “Doctor is In” panel features an incredible small group of Black mental health and general wellness practitioners answering FAQs around care and mental health.
Please note: This class or event is in-person and will be held at our center.
