Celebrating the Literary Witch in You

A literary generative writing class for all writers (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, flash-fiction), we’ll read about the writers featured in Literary Witches: A Celebration of Magical Women Writers by Taisia Kitaiskaia, illustrated by Katy Horan. We’ll discuss their lives and craft and write in response (genre of choice) to readings. If you can buy the book, awesome. If not, I’ll send pdfs of the material. This course will run eight weeks and is for anyone who believes writers and artists are magical. We make the world.

“Why would we dare call someone a literary witch? Because all artists are magicians, and Witches wield a special magic. Witches and women writers alike dwell in creativity, mystery, and other worlds. They aren’t afraid to be alone in the woods of their imaginations, or to live in huts of their own making. They’re not afraid of the dark.” –from the preface “In Witchery, Taisia and Katy” (4).

Join me for six weeks of gathering together to celebrate the magic and witchery of writing.

Please Note: This class is only open only to women and those who identify as women/she/her/them.
