Advanced Workshop for High School Seniors
In depth workshop for advanced teen writers. Class meets bi-weekly, students submit up to five pages of writing one week before the class and are expected to be prepared to discuss each piece during class. Only open to muse students who have completed the Teen Writers Fellowship and have not yet graduated from high school, or high school seniors with previous workshop experience. If you would like to apply, please contact our Youth Program Manager Jessica Grace Kelley at jessica@the-muse.org. Teen students will need to be signed into their Muse accounts in order to register.
This class is offered free to high school youth. It would normally cost $175. When you register, you are welcome to donate any amount toward this class to defray our costs which include paying our teachers. In the box under “Enter the Amount,” you may enter any amount to make a donation or enter zero to take the class for free. Thank you!
All students under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to participate. At check out a parent or legal guardian will be required to complete our Conduct, Waiver and Release Agreements. You can review these agreements here.
Please note: This class or event is hybrid. Some attendees will be in-person and some will attend online. There may be a limited number of in-person seats available. If you are participating online (using Zoom or a similar live platform), students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register. Check your spam box if you don't see it.
