Welcome to the 2026 Teen Writers Fellowship. This page will serve as your central hub for program information and updates.
Fellowship dates, assignments, links and surveys will be posted on this website page. Please check this page once a week while classes are in session. Emails will also be sent to highlight updates.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
- Classes: Our Next Fellowship class is June 18 at 6 PM
- Readings: Next reading is 8/15/2026
- Mentorship: Four one-on-one meetings with a published, working author or poet. These connections will begin in May-June.
- The Final Conference Day: Saturday, August 29 and/or August 30 from 9 AM-5 PM. The conference will take place at The Sheraton Hotel at Waterside (777 Waterside Dr, Norfolk, VA 23510). Check-in begins at 8 AM.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Fellowship assignments are due 4/16!
- Fellowship Workshop Notes will be sent out by 4/23
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Submit up to 5 pages (around 1250 words) of prose or 2-3 poems (no more than 5 pages) into this share folder by next week, 4/9.
- Fill out the Mentorship Survey by April 16
- Submit up to 10 pages ( no more than 3000 words) of prose or 3-5 poems (no more than 10 pages) by May 1st, 2025. Please drop this submission in this Share folder.

Fellows, you and your guardians are required to fill out 2-3 surveys throughout our program. These surveys and due dates will be listed here as available.
