PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

Classes: Thursdays & Saturdays. Check your packet and calendar for dates!

Publication: The Teen Zine, published by The Muse Writers Center. All fellows are required to submit.

Readings: Next reading date TBA, hosted at The Muse.

Mentorship:  Four one-on-one meetings with a published, working author or poet.

Publication Education: The Showcase Piece. This is a collection of poems, 1 short story, or 1-2 chapters of prose that you'd like to work on during your mentorship. 20 pages maximum for poetry, 30 for prose--if this is not enough, email me. Consider your choice carefully, this piece of writing will be graded to measure your progress in the program and will be the only piece you work on with your mentor, which will be reviewed and revised with them at least three times.  It will also be part of what you pitch to the agents and editors at the final Conference Day.

The Final Conference Day: Saturday, September 20th, from 9 AM-5 PM. The Muse Writers Center Conference will take place at The Sheraton Hotel at Waterside (777 Waterside Dr, Norfolk, VA 23510). Check-in begins at 8 AM.
