This summer, The Muse is teaming up with the ViBe Creative District and a few favorite neighborhood partners to bring writing out of the classroom and into Virginia Beach. Three series, three different vibes — all free to attend, all built around showing up for the page.

• Poetry in the Parklet — Wednesday evenings, 6–7 pm at the ViBe Parklet on 18th Street. Featured poets read, lead a guided free-write, and host a community open mic under the summer sky. Summer dates: May 27 (Isabel Hoin) and June 24 (Kindra McDonald Greene).

• Write It Live! — A writing prompt session and open mic at Vibrant Shore Brewing Co. (505 18th Street). Write to a prompt, share what spills out, repeat. Summer date: Thursday, July 9, 6–7:15 pm.

• Shut Up & Write! — Thursdays, 10–11 am at Three Ships Coffee (607 19th Street). Quiet company, good coffee, an hour to get words down. Summer dates: June 18, July 16, August 20.
